The Hawaiian BBQ Mix plate was incredible. Each of the meats Beef, Chicken and Kalbi Short Ribs were tender, juicy and flavorful! It was a very "WOW" experience for me, I was blown away how good it was. Honestly it was probably the best BBQ Hawaiian food I've ever had, including when I was in Hawaii! I highly recommend Nishikawa Hawaiian BBQ! Most Hawaiian BBQ in town are counter service (order & pay first), this one is dine-in service. I appreciated my server, he was very attentive to me the entire time. I can't wait to go back! (original review //)UPDATE //: I've been back about times now over the last weeks and have brought multiple people with me! All of my family members & friends agree that this place is fantastic! I appreciate that it's very consistent! We've tried the Ramen, Seafood, Katsu and other items, and are impressed with everything that we try! We loved the Island Fire Chicken, which had fantastic flavor - but warning - the default spice level is quite spicy (you can order that mild if you can't handle spicy). I'm looking forward to more meals here, as Nishikawa Hawaiian BBQ is a very reliable experience!

In the sun-blasted heart of Chandler, Arizona, a culinary mirage emerges from the heat - Hawaiian BBQ Nishikawa Ramen. It's a spot where the relentless desert sun meets a refuge of rich, steamy broth, a place that's transformed from an anonymous dot on the map into a bastion of flavor under new management. It's not just a restaurant; it's a psychedelic revelation of taste and scent.Take the Potato Wrapped Shrimp, for instance. These shrimps, bold and brash, are swathed in potato string wrappings, and fried to crispy perfection. These wrappings resemble miniature straight jackets, symbolizing a defiance that's as palatable as it is visual. They're not just food; they're edible acts of rebellion. The Gyoza came drenched in sauce, this initially raised suspicions – a bold move. But, the sauce was perfect, a stroke of genius that made me wonder why I'd ever doubted the cook's anarchic methods. Then comes the main event - the Ramen. This isn't just soup; it's a culinary insurrection in a bowl. The noodles, each twist a labyrinth of taste, swim in a broth that's a masterclass in flavor. Kimchi comes along as the perfect sidekick, its zest resonating with every slurp. And the Beef Ribs? They're not just ingredients; they're a revelation, soaking up the broth and whispering the ancient secrets of the ramen world. The Teriyaki Chicken, a seemingly innocent bystander in this flavor riot, brings a comforting embrace with its short-grain Japanese rice and vegetables. It’s the kind of dish that makes you want to settle down and start a family, only to run away to Japan the next morning. As for the ambiance, it's like stepping into a manga. The decor, a modern twist on anime, features black-and-white scenes of Naruto and Demon Slayer characters, all slurping ramen in a surreal Tokyo nightscape. The service? It's more than just waiting tables; it's culinary guardianship, ensuring your experience is as endless as the bottom of your cup.But here's the kicker - a place where Ramen meets Hawaiian-style BBQ. It's a fusion that's as unexpected as it is brilliant. A declaration that in this culinary dreamscape, all flavors stand tall and proud. Conclusion: Hawaiian BBQ Nishikawa Ramen is more than a dining spot. It's a culinary oasis this desert we call Chandler, a place where traditional norms are shattered and reborn into something untamed, something wildly free. If you find yourself in Chandler, make the pilgrimage. Come for the ramen, stay for the BBQ, and leave with your taste buds awakened and your soul stirred.

This is a small place and it is best to make a reservation. I showed up and there was one table left open. After I was seated the crowd really started coming, so they get busy fast due to limited seating. The food came out quickly and was okay. For my ramen I got vegetarian with no spice and I barely had any flavor so I'd suggest going with a bit of heat for sure. It was still filling yet light. The shrimp Shu Mai was yummy and probably my favorite item. The spring rolls were crispy and flavorful.Service was good waitress/hostess was everywhere doing all the jobs and everyone was being helped.Decent experience here.
